About Sophia and Halo

Hi, my name is Sophia and I’m in middle school! I have always loved animals and I’ve wanted to be a vet ever since I learned what that word meant!

I made these dog treats for my dog Halo. Halo was adopted from the Animal Shelter in April 2022. Since then, he has become the baby of our family!

We spoiled him and bought him tons of treats, as one would, but one day I turned the package around and looked at the ingredients list. For a supposedly, “all natural” treat, there were so many ingredients I couldn’t pronounce. I could only really make out water and a couple of other ingredients. The rest were chemicals that, upon research, are really not that healthy to dogs! I was heartbroken. After all, we all want what’s best for our doggies, right? That same day, I decided to take this problem into my own hands. I made it my mission to make treats that are both yummy and healthy. I looked online and tried recipe after recipe, but none of them worked. After many fails, I realized that I needed to pave my own path. I was determined to make sure Halo lives the healthiest, happiest life possible. So, I started from scratch. I researched ingredients that could be consumed by dogs, and I did taste tests with Halo to see which ones he liked the best. From there, I formulated my own recipe. After testing different formulas and proportions, I found something that worked! Halo loved it!

From then on, we threw out all our old treats, and replaced it with mine. Halo is happier and healthier! I realized that if my pup was affected by the ingredients in traditional treats, many others are too. It is now my mission to make sure that everyone’s fur babies were healthy and happy. It started out with selling my treats at local dog parks and communities, and now I’m here, ensuring that everyone’s pups can live the best life possible!

By buying my treats, you will also support the animals at our animal shelter, who are still waiting for their forever home. I plan on donating a portion of my profits to them and using the rest to make more treats for everyone!
